This Policy in brief Who we are. Plaee Along Ltd., an Israeli company, operates www.plaee.com. We are a business-to-business technology provider; this website is for prospective clients and partners, not for consumers. What we collect. Business-contact details you give us when you contact us or request a demo, and technical data collected through cookies when you browse the Site. What we do not do. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and we make no automated decisions about you. What this Policy does not cover. Information that Plaee processes on behalf of its clients ("Operators") within the technology platforms it licenses to them, including information about Operators' end users. That processing is governed by the Operator's own privacy notice and by the data-processing terms in our agreement with the Operator. Your rights and how to reach us. You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or object to its use, by emailing [email protected]. Details are in Section 9. |
1. Who we are and what this Policy covers
1.1 This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how Plaee Along Ltd., a company incorporated in Israel under company number 517151981, whose registered office is at 2 HaYarkon Street, Bnei Brak 5126012, Israel ("Plaee", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit www.plaee.com and its subdomains (the "Site"), contact us or request a demo or partnership through the Site or by email, or otherwise interact with us as a prospective or existing business contact. Plaee is the controller of that information (in Israeli law, the owner of the database in which it is held).
1.2 This Policy does not apply to personal information that Plaee processes on behalf of its business clients ("Operators") as part of the technology platforms and services Plaee licenses or provides to them, including information about Operators' end users. Plaee processes that information as a service provider (processor) on the Operator's documented instructions and under the data-processing terms of the relevant commercial agreement; the Operator's own privacy notice governs it. If you are an end user of an Operator's product, please direct any privacy request to that Operator.
1.3 Job applicants are covered by our separate Candidate Privacy Notice (https://drive.google.com/file/d/10jJr-wCu6v5OnpyFNBaTibISoH77r_kp/view), which supplements this Policy.
1.4 The Site is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
2. Information we collect and where it comes from
2.1 Information you give us. When you submit a contact, demo or partnership request through the Site, or email us, we collect the details you provide, which typically include your name, business email address, company name and, where you choose to provide them, your job title, telephone number and the content of your message. Fields marked as required on our forms are needed for us to respond to your request; you are under no legal obligation to provide them, but we cannot respond without them. Any other information you include is provided at your discretion.
2.2 Information we collect automatically. When you browse the Site we collect technical information from your device and browser: IP address and the approximate location derived from it, browser type and version, operating system, device type, language, referring URL, the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit and your interactions with the Site. We collect this information through server logs and through cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy (www.plaee.com/company/cookie-policy). Analytics cookies are set only with your consent where the law requires it.
2.3 Information from other sources. In the course of business development we may supplement or verify business-contact details with information from your employer or colleagues, from publicly available professional sources (such as your company's website or your public LinkedIn profile), from industry events and conferences, or from our partners where they introduce you to us.
2.4 We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us through the Site, sensitive information such as identity-document numbers, financial-account details, health information or information about political or religious views.
3. How we use personal information and on what legal basis
3.1 We use personal information for the purposes, and on the legal bases, set out in the following table. Where European or UK data-protection law applies to you, the legal basis in the right-hand column is the one on which we rely; under applicable Israeli privacy law, we rely on your informed consent (given by providing information after reading this Policy) and on the other grounds available to us under that law.
Purpose | Information used | Legal basis |
Responding to your enquiry, demo or partnership request, and conducting pre-contractual discussions | Contact details; message content | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; our legitimate interests where you act for an organisation |
Business development and relationship management, including sending you information about Plaee products and events relevant to your enquiry or relationship | Contact details; interaction history | Legitimate interests; consent where required by applicable anti-spam law (see Section 6) |
Operating, securing, maintaining and improving the Site, and understanding how it is used | Technical data; cookies | Legitimate interests for strictly necessary and security cookies; consent for analytics cookies |
Compliance, sanctions and know-your-business screening of prospective counterparties before entering into a business relationship | Contact and company details; public-source information | Legitimate interests; compliance with legal obligations |
Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims; complying with law and regulatory requests; corporate transactions | Any of the above, as relevant | Legitimate interests; compliance with legal obligations |
3.2 Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that those interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights, taking into account that the information concerned is business-contact and technical information and that you are dealing with us in a professional capacity. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time (see Section 9).
3.3 We do not use personal information collected through the Site to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not carry out profiling for that purpose.
4. Who we share personal information with
4.1 We share personal information only as described below, and only to the extent necessary for the purposes in Section 3:
(a) Service providers. Companies that host and operate the Site and our business systems on our behalf and under written data-protection terms: Framer (website hosting), Cloudflare (security and content delivery), Google (Tag Manager and Analytics), and our customer-relationship-management, email and productivity providers. They may access personal information only to perform services for us and may not use it for their own purposes.
(b) Plaee group companies. Affiliated companies within the Plaee group, where relevant to your enquiry or relationship, for the purposes in this Policy and subject to the same protections.
(c) Partners. Where you ask us to introduce you to one of our partners, or where a joint offering involving a partner is discussed with you, we share your contact details with that partner for that purpose.
(d) Professional advisers. Our lawyers, accountants, auditors and insurers, where necessary for them to advise or act for us.
(e) Authorities. Regulators, courts, law-enforcement and other public authorities where we are required to do so by law, regulation, legal process or an enforceable governmental request, or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others.
(f) Corporate transactions. A prospective or actual purchaser, investor, successor or their advisers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation or sale of all or part of our business or assets, subject to confidentiality obligations.
4.2 We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. International transfers
5.1 Plaee is based in Israel. Our service providers operate in Israel, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States, so personal information may be transferred to and processed in those countries.
5.2 Where personal information originating in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is transferred to Israel, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision in respect of Israel and by the corresponding adequacy regulations of the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Where personal information is transferred to a country not recognised as providing adequate protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where relevant) or, for recipients in the United States, their certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions. Transfers of personal information from Israel are made in accordance with applicable Israeli data-transfer requirements. You may request a copy of the safeguards we rely on by contacting us.
6. Marketing communications
6.1 We may send you information about Plaee products, services, events and industry developments where you have requested it, where you have consented, or where we are otherwise permitted to do so by applicable law in the context of an existing business relationship or enquiry. In Israel, we send commercial electronic messages only with your prior express consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable anti-spam law.
6.2 You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing [email protected]. We will act on your request promptly. Opting out of marketing does not affect communications about a request you have made or a business relationship you have with us.
7. How long we keep personal information
7.1 We keep enquiry and business-contact information for as long as we have an active dialogue or business relationship with you or your organisation and for 24 months after our last meaningful contact, unless you ask us to delete it earlier or we are required or permitted to keep it for longer to comply with law, to resolve disputes or to establish or defend legal claims. Where your organisation enters into a commercial agreement with Plaee, contact information relating to that agreement is kept for its term and for seven years thereafter, in line with Israeli record-keeping requirements.
7.2 Technical information collected through cookies is kept for the periods stated in our Cookie Policy. Server logs are kept for up to 12 months for security purposes. When information is no longer needed we delete it or anonymise it so that it no longer identifies you.
8. Security
8.1 We maintain technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access, including encryption of data in transit, access controls and logging, and due diligence on our service providers, and we maintain the data-security arrangements required of us under applicable law. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the competent authorities where required by law.
9. Your rights
9.1 Depending on where you are located and subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it; have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected; have your information deleted; object to, or ask us to restrict, processing based on our legitimate interests; withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal; receive information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format; and not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
9.2 Israel. If you are in Israel, you have the right under applicable Israeli privacy law to inspect information held about you and to request its correction or deletion, and the right to demand that information used to contact you for direct-marketing purposes be deleted from our database. Complaints may be made to the Privacy Protection Authority.
9.3 European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. You have the rights conferred by the data-protection laws applicable in those jurisdictions, and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your place of residence, work or of the alleged infringement. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
9.4 United States. Residents of certain US states have rights under their state privacy laws, including the rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. Plaee does not sell personal information or process it for targeted advertising as those terms are defined in those laws, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals with respect to cookies. Whether a particular state law applies to Plaee depends on statutory thresholds; regardless, we will consider any request made under this Section in good faith.
9.5 How to exercise your rights. Email [email protected] or write to the address in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and in any event within 30 days, which we may extend where the law permits and the request is complex; we will tell you if that is the case. We will not charge a fee unless the law allows it (for example, for manifestly unfounded or repetitive requests). Where we cannot fully comply with a request, we will explain why.
10. Third-party websites and social media
10.1 The Site contains links to third-party websites, including those of our partners, and to our pages on X (Twitter) and LinkedIn. Those websites and platforms have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read; we are not responsible for their practices. As the administrator of our social-media pages we may see aggregated engagement statistics provided by the platform, and we may receive messages you send us through those platforms.
11. Changes to this Policy
11.1 We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. The revised Policy will be posted on the Site with an updated "Last updated" date, and where a change is material we will draw attention to it on the Site or, where appropriate, by contacting you directly. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
